China's NDRC Expects May, June Iron Ore Prices to Rise Sharply

 May 12 (Bloomberg) -- China's National Development and Reform Commission expects iron ore prices to rise "sharply" and coal prices to increase "slightly" in May and June.

The commission said cement prices will likely remain stable, according to a statement on its website today.

April steel prices in 22 Chinese cities rose 39.5 percent to 5,026 yuan per ton while cement prices in 36 cities rose 0.7 percent to 404.4 yuan a ton, the statement said.
